I’m thrilled to share a new initiative with you that I will be launching on my website:
Artist & Author Spotlights!
This project is all about celebrating creators of every kind including artists of any medium. While they show off their indie books and visual art. Giving them a chance at the visibility they deserve.
Whether you self-publish, make zines, create visual works, or experiment with other art forms, this is a chance to highlight your work, your process, and your story. 🎨📚
The goal of these spotlights is simple: community collaboration & amplification. Many creators work tirelessly on their projects, but it’s easy for great work to go unseen. Through these features, I want to provide a platform that showcases your creativity. While, connecting you with new people interested in your work, as well as others in the community. These spotlights aren’t just about the final product, they’re about the journey, the ideas, and the voices or visions behind the work.
Here’s what the spotlights can look like:
Interviews, We talk about your creative process, inspirations, and what your work means to you. And any other relevant information you want to include.
Project features, A spotlight post on a book, zine, artwork, or ongoing project. The highlighting aims to show what makes you and your work unique. And we will also provide places access your work .
Creative showcases: A post centered on multiple of your works, with images, excerpts, and explanations of your approach. What the collection means to you. “Favorite excerpt or piece”
Artists choice post: submit other theme options. Include your ideas for what you’d want to see here and why. Supporting information, post formats, etc.
Each feature will have its own dedicated post on the site, so it’s easy to find, revisit, and share. This means that over time, the collection of spotlights will grow into a dynamic archive of diverse voices and projects. A resource for creators, readers, and art lovers alike.
These spotlights are primarily aimed at minority creators and artists, but truly anyone creating work in any medium is welcome. As long as they are supportive of all minorities. The PRISM and Poeaxtry_ have always been about inclusive support. This initiative is an extension of that philosophy. This isn’t just a “feature post”. I see a chance to connect, collaborate, and be part of a growing creative community.

These spotlights aren’t about fame or competition. They are about recognition, support, and connection. Whether you’re a writer, visual artist, or someone experimenting in hybrid forms, your work deserves to be seen, celebrated, and shared. 💡💜

As well as, indie publishings of minority creatives solo works will always remain free for the creatives.
